As we celebrate Women’s History Month in March, what better way to honor women than with an empowering event? On Saturday, May 9th the Charles Communications team will be participating in the Power Walk San Francisco benefiting Dress for Success. Each year this event takes place in more than 20 cities, in five countries throughout the world. We are very honored to be a part of this wonderful organization and we are also excited that we will be joining forces with longtime friends and former office mates Andrew & Freeman & Co to form a powerhouse team! Both agencies principals Andrew Freeman and Kimberly Charles serve proudly on the San Francisco chapter board.

This 5k walk/run promotes the Health & Wellness Initiative of the Professional Women’s Group (PWG) and also raises funds and visibility for Dress for Success San Francisco.
What is Dress for Success?
Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Located in more than 140 cities across 17 countries, Dress for Success has served more than 850,000 women around the world since 1997! And its not just about donating suits - in addition to providing professional attire to help women look and feel good for upcoming interviews, Dress for Success also provides counseling and workshops to ensure they remain employed, continue to develop skills and help them advance in their careers.
As a woman-owned business celebrating 12 years this May, Charles Communications Associates believes in women helping women. Our founder, Kimberly Charles, currently acts on the Board of Dress for Success San Francisco Chapter and has been a part of the host committee for the annual gala for the past 4 years.

We would be honored to have you join our team (or you can register as an individual or make a donation on our behalf). The money we raise will go directly to the Dress for Success mission. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many. You can donate on behalf of our efforts, or you can give in honor of someone who has empowered and inspired you!
